Global Enterprise Management (GEM) course is designed to develop globally minded leaders. It prepares students for leadership roles in multinational corporations as well as entrepreneurial ventures seeking to scale in international markets. In term A, students will learn foundations of global strategy including classic models of international value creation, global multi-market competition, the AAA framework (Aggregation, Adaptation, and Arbitrage) for managing cross-border differences and opportunities, and cross-cultural entrepreneurship. Students will also explore how emerging technologies—particularly artificial intelligence and digital platforms—are reshaping traditional models of internationalization and enabling new forms of global expansion. In term B, students will learn the execution of global strategy and the organizational challenges of operating across borders. Topics include cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic alliances, and the management of people, teams, and organizations across diverse cultural, institutional, and geographic environments. In addition, students will analyze emerging forces that are reshaping the global business landscape, including sociopolitical risk, nationalism, and geopolitical tensions. GEM learning experience is fun and interactive, incorporating a rich mix of teaching methods such as case discussions, scenario simulations, film analysis, role-playing exercises, and guest lectures.
