The program is a five-day block-week course for Columbia MBA students taking place in Israel, together with Reichman University, and Arison School of Business MBA students, who already take an active role in the Israeli innovation ecosystem. The course offers an opportunity to experience firsthand, Israel’s blazing hi-tech entrepreneurial economy. You’ll tour the facilities of some of the country’s hottest companies and meet face-to-face with top entrepreneurs, investors, and managers. Students will be exposed to various aspects of the way innovation is initiated and managed in Israel with an emphasis on the characteristics of the "start-up nation". The course will be led by CBS Professor Amir Ziv and Reichman University’s Professors Jacob Goldenberg and Oren Zuckerman together with prominent figures in the Israeli innovation scene, including directors of leading accelerators; top angle investors; and leaders of corporate innovation;. This combination of academic expertise mixed with street-wise proven experience of industry leaders is the heart of the program. This, coupled with hands-on activities and experiential learning, provides unique networking opportunities with Reichman University's MBA students and members of the Israeli entrepreneurship ecosystem. This course will take place in Israel over five intensive days (Sunday-Thursday, May 14-18) arrival each day will be at 8:30 AM, with class and company visits ending approximately at 6:00 PM (including site visits). A pre-class lunch meeting is tentatively scheduled for Wed. April 26th, details will be communicated to enrolled students when confirmed. Please note that there is a program fee of $675, including, daily transportation to the Reichman campus and to company visits, Jerusalem sightseeing tour with a guide, welcome dinner on the 14th, closing meal on the 18th and most breakfasts and lunches - students are responsible for paying for their own flights, accommodations, and other meals/evening activities.
